I know that many times there are procrastinators in a group and those who check a list 5 times before leaving to make sure that they got everything. But there aren’t that many lists out there for what to pack for Audiotistic and that’s what I am here to help with. Whether you are the one who packs minutes before leaving or just one who loves a list to check then this is for you.

What is Audiotistic?
For those who don’t know much about EDM festivals or more specifically about Insomniac’s festivals then this part is for you. Audiotistic is a Bay Area Insomniac festival that happens in July. This year it will take place on July 13th and 14th at the Shoreline Amphitheatre and Grounds. It is not a camping festival so you will need to drive, Uber, or find another way there and either get a hotel or Airbnb.
Now there are some things you should understand, like what plur is and what are acceptable items at a festival. Along with what the lineup is and that ALL ARE WELCOME, which means you come as you. If you want to dress up in rave clothing, a dinosaur costume, or just come in a T-shirt and shorts or pants then so be it. You get to be you or if you want to be someone else then so be it. Shoot, I love Rave Dora for choosing to be Rave Dora in the first place and sticking to herself.
For the tickets, there are a few options though there are only GA tickets. You can buy 2-day tickets or a ticket for either Saturday or Sunday alone. The 2-day tickets are in tier 2 which means they cost $170 plus taxes and fees or if you want stickers with them it is an extra $5 at $175 plus taxes and fees. For just Saturday OR Sunday, the tickets are in tier 2 as well at $100 plus taxes and fees, but that means only going for that specific day.

What should you be prepared for?
From messing up what to pack the first time around when I started raving to finally figuring out that many festivals have a similar packing list except for the weather consideration. The biggest thing you should know when packing for a festival is the weather because that plays the biggest role in your experience. Dress too warm and it’s a burning day you might get heat stroke. Dress too light and it’s a cold windy day like EDC Las Vegas 2019 and you freeze your ass off.
It is all about preparing for the weather wherever the festival is. Now Audiotistic is in the Bay Area on the 13th and 14th of July. So on the 13th, it is supposed 73 °F during the day and 57 °F at night. And on the 14th it is supposed to be 69 °F during the day and 58 °F at night. Here is the big thing though on the 13th there are wind gusts up to 28mph and on the 14th can be up to 25mph. Though it isn’t as bad as EDC Las Vegas 2019 was, which were around 40 to 50 mph, still be prepared for the gusts.
