Glitter, glitter, and more glitter! Who doesn’t love glitter for festivals? I bet you will see so many festival goers either covered in glitter or at least with a small glitter accent. It can be with their makeup, covering their body, or even in their hair.
Glitter is a staple for festival season.
Especially for EDM festivals/ raves.
The only problem I find with glitter is that it is really hard to apply and gets everywhere when trying to apply it. All of that loose mess that ends up all over the floor and counters that is hard to clean up and never is fully cleaned.
It is almost like you lose so much of your container of glitter that you basically only get half or less of the container to actually use.
Don’t forget that need for gels or whatever you use to make it stick.
And trust me you will go through a lot of gel or product just to get the look that you want.
But, guess what, I have found a better way. It makes using and applying glitter so much easier, but still, have such great colors and combinations to make your outfit perfect. So, what have I found?
Moon Shatter Glitter
This is actually a pretty new glitter to come out. I ended up finding out about it while at EDC (Electric Daisy Carnival) Las Vegas 2018. It was a brand new product and they still haven’t fully made their website yet just for the glitter. They do have their social media up and running, along with their founding company called KritterKlips.
Follow their Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter to know when their website goes up.
If you are at a festival and you see a KritterKlips vendor tent stop by. They should have Moon Shatter glitter in stock and right now that is the only place you can get until the website goes up, sad to say.
It may be new, but little did I know just how wonderful it was.
What is so great about it?
Well, there are many reasons I fell in love with Moon Shatter glitter over the other glitters. It wasn’t because the vendors were so sweet and friendly (even though they truly were), but because even the product can speak for itself.
Don’t get me wrong, it takes me some time to decide if I want to spend more money when I am already at a festival. And I did end up waiting a day after trying out their sample product before deciding to actually buy it.
Here is what I found out about it:
- Only $20 for a jar (price may change when the website opens).
- Glitter lasts for a long time when on even while sweating.
- They used natural ingredients so that it does not harm your skin.
- There is no gel required because it is a gel itself.
- No hassle or mess when applying.
- The container actually has a lot in it.
- They have such gorgeous colors to choose from.
- It actually comes in a pretty compact container.
- There are multiple sized pieces of glitter in the gel, so you get small to big pieces.
- And it works with every outfit.
Want to know the ingredients?
I have the list right here for you. First off, it is 100% biodegradable glitter gel.
- Plant-based Glitter
- Water
- Witch Hazel
- Gluconolactone
- Xanthan Gum
- 1% or less of:
- Sodium Benzoate
- Sodium Citrate
- Tocopheryl Acetate
- Alcohol
And that is it.
It does note that it is not intended for use around eyes or sensitive skin, recommended for external use only, and to keep out of reach of children.
Sounds wonderful right?
Well, check out some of the colors they have.
I ended up picking up the silver and the light blue, but they do have a light pink, gold, green, and one mixed with all colors.
Below is what it looks like on (and what I loved to do for EDC 2018). I used the silver for this look.
There you have it.
Moon Shatter glitter is biodegradable, has many colors to choose from, and does not need a gel or product to use it. Make sure you check them out and follow them to see when they start selling it online.
